Workshop Lino Print with Helen Brown

Workshop Lino Print with Helen Brown

-

I am a woodcut printmaker based in Sussex. On my website you will find a selection of my work, most are from the South Downs, as this is my home and a great love. I draw directly from the landscape onto wooden blocks, I then carve into the blocks and print from them. hand tinted, just as the mood of a scene shifts with light, time and experience. I spend time in the places my work depicts, returning to them. My prints are imbued with the emotion of place.

Workshop in Oils, Palette Knife and Gold Leaf with Fiona Hooper

-

There will be an extra charge for those wishing to use gold leaf in their work in the workshop. Fiona’s passion lies in painting landscapes in her distinctive and contemporary style.  She works predominantly in oils using a painting knife, to capture the peace and tranquillity of the wild, natural places that she loves to discover.  Exploring and visiting these places is an excellent way of recharging her mental ‘batteries’.

Polly Dutton

Critique with Artist Polly Dutton

-

Polly Writes - When I'm not sketching or painting, I'm either walking with my dogs or working in my garden.  My work is so often inspired by nature so I'm constantly looking and taking in the sense of a place.

This is a great opportunity to see how an experienced artist views our works and to learn something about the art process from another's point of view. They are always sensitive to the fragility of the artists creative nature and it is an interesting and informative experience for all who attend. Do bring along something you have done, Entries must be Framed or mounted, and your work will be seen and appreciated by all. There are three categories at this Critique, the Contemporary Painting Award, the Drawing Award and The Dorothy Tubb Award (for a traditionally painted oil painting).
