Critique Three Awards with Steve Carroll - 2pm start

The Dorothy Tubb Award - for a traditional oil painting any subject, framed or mounted. At the AGM the Dorothy Tubb Rose Bowl will be presented to the winner and there will be two Highly Commended certificates. The Contemporary Painting Award - Subject for 2023 , "Colours". This to be framed or mounted for an award in Art Glass, at the AGM, presented to the winner, and there will be two Highly Commended certificates. The Drawing Award - A drawing in any drawing medium, any subject framed or mounted. The Drawing Award Cup, will be presented to the winner at the AGM, and there will be two Highly Commended certificates. Steve Carroll - Steve studied Illustration and Printmaking at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee. He has over 25 years experience as illustrator, caricaturist and portrait artist for various magazines and newspapers in the UK, Hong Kong, Dubai and the United States. He has five drawings of politicians in the permanent collection at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery, Edinburgh. Skilled in the use of traditional materials such as pen & ink, watercolour and scratchboard, Steve also creates artwork digitally using Procreate software. Aditional to this he is a lecturer in Art History for the Arts Society, so he brings a wealth of experience and expertise for us in his critique.
