Membership
Founded in 1944 Downland Art Society currently holds two exhibitions during the year, as well as regular monthly meetings at which we have demonstrations conducted by professional artists covering a variety of topics and subjects.
New members welcome - We are currently looking for new members.
Visitors are also most welcome at our meetings for a small fee payable at the time.

Membership of the Society currently comprises:-
- ASSOCIATE Membership
- FULL Membership
- HONORARY Membership
Associate, and Full membership are allocated for new members.
Joining
Anyone can join Downland Art Societiy and become an 'Associate member'..
Just come along to one of our monthly meetings listed here.
You can if you wish bring with you three framed original paintings of your work. Framed samples of work will be evaluated by the visiting professional on the day, and if deemed to be of suitable, Full membership will be granted there and then.
Associate Membership to Full Membership
New Associate members can submit 3 framed paintings to our Spring exhibition for the chance to win the Kay Seear award. The winner of the Kay Seear award is promoted from Associate Member to Full Member.
Fees
Full annual membership £20.00 per annum.
Associate annual membership £17.00 per annum.
Membership renewal
Annual membership renewal falls due on January
1st. Those joining the Society after October 1st in
any year will not be required to pay the subscription
for the following calendar year.
We cannot guarantee anyone wishing to join will be accepted straight away.
