Dorothy Tubb

Dorothy has been painting for the past 35 years working chiefly in Oils and is the fourth generation of her Family that has shown great skill in working with various types of media. She quickly became known for her finely detailed landscapes, and was well known in the Bournemouth area in her early days, where she exhibited in the Art shows in the Winter Gardens yearly.

She studied at Bracknell for a few years but the main effort of her work is self-taught bringing an original fresh style, which brings the countryside to life in a dramatic and evocative manner.

After moving to Berkshire she quickly made a name for herself with the Wokingham Art Group and The Art Gallery’s in Ascot and Henley.

About ten years ago she moved to West Sussex and here she has once again made her mark with her fine landscape paintings, bringing the beautiful scenery of Sussex to life. Since moving to this area she has become a member of the Downland Art Society and enjoys popular support by all her piers.

She has been fortunate enough to have work selected for Exhibition by Portsmouth Art show, Association of Sussex Artists at Horsham and the Clairmonte gallery in Brighton and now with Whibley’s of Worthing
